Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future
Each March, we proudly celebrate Women’s History Month, a time dedicated to honoring the achievements, contributions, and lasting impact of women who have shaped our communities and strengthened generations.
The 2026 National Women’s History Month theme, Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future, shines a spotlight on the vital roles women play in advancing environmental stewardship, economic opportunity, and social justice. From grassroots organizers and educators to caregivers, advocates, and business leaders, women continue to lead efforts that build a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable future for all.
Here at Sunshine Senior Center, we are especially proud to celebrate the women in our own community, whose leadership, service, and wisdom continue to inspire positive change. Their stories remind us that meaningful progress often begins at the local level.
As we observe Women’s History Month, we invite you to take time to learn, reflect, and uplift the women who influence our lives every day. Join us on March 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. for our Women’s History Month Panel Discussion, where we will honor and hear from local changemakers who are leading the way in our community.
Together, let us recognize the women of yesterday, celebrate the leaders of today, and inspire the changemakers of tomorrow.
