Spreading Holiday Cheer

November is the month of Thanksgiving, a time for families and friends to come together, reflect on the many reasons we are grateful, and appreciate the importance of connection.

For some, however, the holidays can also bring feelings of loneliness and isolation. This serves as a gentle reminder of how meaningful it can be to reach out to others. A simple phone call, a friendly greeting, or a shared conversation can make a profound difference for someone who may not have close connections.

The holiday season is about sharing kindness and spreading good cheer. The Sunshine Senior Center invites you to join our Holiday Cheer Team! Volunteers will connect with members by making friendly phone calls, extending invitations to upcoming activities, or

simply gathering friends to enjoy a warm cup of coffee in the Sunset Café.

A small gesture of kindness can truly brighten someone’s day. Join the Holiday Cheer

Celebrate the season of gratitude with a delicious traditional meal, festive music, and great company.

Cooking Around the World

In partnership with Healthy St. Pete, participants will enjoy holiday-themed treats inspired by countries around the globe. Each staff member has selected a country to represent, and tables will be decorated to showcase the culture and flavors of that region.

Make and Take Angel Ornament

Participants will create their own angel ornament to take home, a keepsake to treasure for years to come.

Cookies and Cocoa

A sweet afternoon of decorating holiday cookies, paired with a delicious cup of warm cocoa.

Holiday Party

Join us for an afternoon of holiday cheer featuring festive music, games, refreshments, and a visit from our distinguished guests—Mr. and Mrs. Claus! Eggnog will be served to add to the merriment.

Noon New Years Eve Party

The series concludes with a lively Noon Year’s Eve celebration. Participants will ring in the new year at noon with fun, friends, and festive activities.
